Sharon Hope Fabriz

I believe in butterflies

when life gives a sunrise

birdsong

a slowing river

the sadness of all that’s vanished

the tears behind the eyes just now

a sliding door to the Milky Way

the cry of a lonesome train

a voice speaking a name

the lent life

that beauty

seeping into everything.

Elegantly written, infused with vulnerable revelations, and shining wisdom gleaned from having lived a courageous path of heart, Circling Toward Home is one of the most powerful memoirs I have ever read. With gentle and determined grit, Sharon encourages us to embrace openness through the lens of possibility.

Sharon Hope Fabriz brilliantly nests her life into the drama of the times in an artful memoir that addresses gender, race, religion, sexuality, daughterhood, motherhood, marriage and partnership, the Midwest, Deep South, far West and the FBI! Circling Toward Home proves the personal is universal as the reader follows Fabriz’s journey to her true self. Bravo and brave.

Need an editor?

Sharon’s experience includes thirty years as a secondary school English teacher and subsequent years as a writing coach and editor. She works one-on-one with no more than one client at a time and applies her expertise in the spirit of serving her client’s goals and needs. For more information, inquire here.

As an Indie Publishing coach, I worked with Sharon to self-publish her book and saw that her writing and editing skills were top-notch. When I was in need of an additional editor to keep up with the fast-paced business of Indie Publishing, I turned to Sharon for editing support. She is not only organized but met every deadline, even on tight turnarounds. Sharon is not only a pleasure to work with, but an experienced and adept editor—catching typos and grammatical errors that many content editors missed. If you are in need of a skilled editor or proofreader, I highly recommend Sharon for her expertise.

Leave it to a storyteller like Fabriz to nudge you toward creating your best writing. She sprinkles in guidance for using descriptive details while directing you to create an enticing narrative, all while offering sensible and helpful editing. Add to the mix her delightful humor, turning what otherwise might seem like work into a pleasurable experience.

Allt for Sverige, Season 10

In 2021, Sharon joined the cast of Allt for Sverige, Season 10, an Emmy-award-winning Swedish reality show that invites ten North Americans with Swedish roots to experience their genealogical history. Six of Sharon’s great-grandparents immigrated to the U.S. from Sweden. Allt for Sverige introduced her to the geography and stories of her paternal grandmother’s family line back several generations and connected her to Swedish relatives she treasures to this day. Her love of Sweden has flourished, and yes, she studies Swedish on Duolingo!
